Mark Brown, Founder

Mark founded iHwy in 1995. He is responsible for overseeing all strategic, partner, sales, development, hosting, network, support and accounting functions. He has 17 years of experience working directly with a range of customers.

After founding iHwy, Mark spent 5+ years creating large scale web and backend applications for the real estate industry at Intelitouch, Inc, Realty Empowerment Systems, Inc, and RealTSolutions, LLC. Intelitouch, Inc was considered a cutting-edge leader in the industry.

Prior to his involvment in iHwy and the real estate industry, Mark worked for several companies developing and managing networks and developing software. Some of his work includes applications to track inventory and manage wharehouses. He's written software to manage call centers and integrated communications systems into his software for call routing. He's had the opportunity to work in large cross-platform network environments and is proficient with Linux and Windows operating systems.

Jack Killpatrick, VP Software Development

Jack joined IHwy in early 2005, after 8 years of designing, building and managing large scale web and backend applications for the real estate industry at Intelitouch, Inc, Realty Empowerment Systems, Inc, and RealTSolutions, LLC. As a founder at InteliTouch, he gained deep knowledge of implementing business processes in new, creative ways.

Jack's background includes many years of managing small to medium sized teams (from 4 to 300) and a wide range of software development projects. He is also a skilled software developer, with over 15 years of experience in a number of languages and technologies, including ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, Cold Fusion, Java, Perl, PHP and extensive work with SQL-based databases. Ever-inquisitive, he also tends to keep on top of the latest developments in the software development and web industries and can be found rummaging through 20 or 30 blogs late at night, absorbed in what's going on with the latest AJAX code libraries or trends in the RubyOnRails world.

Jack is responsible for managing many of the IHwy development projects, working directly with developers and clients, offering guidance and support to keep projects moving along. He writes a lot of code and is instrumental in system design, architecture, code reviews, process management and our adoption of the latest technologies.

Prior to IHwy and InteliTouch, Jack founded Infusion Design, a small San Francisco based web development company focused on designing and building database-driven web sites.

Michael Sealand, Software Developer

Michael has a B.S. in Computer Science from UCSC and 20 years of programming experience. Previous projects include a patented embedded application for searching real estate databases, a complex hotel booking system, and an innovative service for content search and downloading. Michael is fluent in many programming languages (c, c++, c#, java, php, perl, javascript, and html), operating systems (Mac OS X, Windows, Linux, Darwin, and FreeBSD), and development platforms (Microsoft .NET, Cocoa, and J2EE). Using these and a variety of other technologies, he has developed multiple complex and user-friendly web, desktop, and embedded applications. Michael's focus is on generic, reusable code that can be utilized to quickly add functionality to new projects. He has headed up most of our framework code design decisions.
