iPhone/iPad Fire Simulation
The new FireSim iPad and iPhone application from iHwy, Inc. simulates the growth and spread of wildland fire. Enter coordinates or an address and watch the model of the fire growth over elapsed time. You control variables for wind direction and speed or allow the application to use random wind patterns. You tell FireSim what type of fuel is burning, from tall grass to chaparral or even live herbaceous fuel. As the fire model grows, watch the count on how many square acres are affected and how much time has elapsed.
