Hardware and Servers

Our servers are commercial grade HP Proliant BL460C servers. Each server is installed in an enclosure with dual power supplies and dual switches. Each server is connected to the network via three network cards, and a fourth network card is used for full remote control even if the server OS is down or a remote power cycle is needed. Each server runs on 48 volts DC and is connected to three battery systems that can supply power for up to four days, assuming the backup generator never started.

Every physical hard drive disk on our network is fully mirrored for data protection and runs in a Raid 1 configuration.

Backups

Microsoft Data Protection services are deployed on all servers for continuous data backup. Full machine backups are performed nightly and taken offsite each week. We perform complete machine backups each night on our entire Linux network.

Windows 2003/2008 Management

Our Windows network is running Microsoft Operations Manager which monitors every aspect of our network and keeps machines updated with the latest security patches. VPN connections run through ISA.

Secure Email Security

We've partnered with Postini to provide perimeter email security. We stop spam, phishing, viruses and directory harvest attacks with patented, multi-layer technology that delivers unmatched intrusion prevention and protection for email. Our mail solution stops more threats than any email protection software we have ever used.
