Our relationship with the The TWAIN Working Group has given us an opportunity to build several iterations of their applications and websites. The latest iteration combines several new technologies and marketing sits to reach their world-wide developer community. We’ve integrated NodeJS with WordPress and folded in some great features on their new http://resource.twain.org site.
Guess what? In addition to our Daily Back-Up and Proactive Monitoring, we’ve just released a new tool for our Managed Business hosting customers. We’re now proactively monitoring sites for Malware infections. If your site becomes infected our Hands-On Support will proactively fix the problem or roll-back your site to an hourly snapshot or previous backup.
We’ve started rolling out WordPress 4.6 to our managed WordPress customers. It’s a seamless process and we do all the work.
WordPress 4.6 includes:
- Update Improvement – All of your theme and plugin management is handled in a much more streamlined installation and update process.
- Native Fonts – WordPress now uses your native system fonts rather than external resources.
- Editor Backups – Content is automatically saved to the browser as you type in the editor.
- Editor Link Checker – The editor will now check links as they are input into the window.

Ojai Valley School (OVS) needed a new website to showcase their fun summer program. iHwy, Inc. created a design for OVS and built them a robust site on a content management system. The new site includes an e-commerce platform to handle credit card processing for registration.
We’re pleased to announce the launch of the new San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District website www.slvusd.org. Over the past few months, iHwy, Inc staff and SLVUSD have been hard at work to streamline the content on the website and provide a more informative and eye-pleasing site which represents the beautiful San Lorenzo Valley. The new district website builds on our recent work on the SLV High School site finished this past spring.

We’re happy to announce that Exchange ActiveSync is now available as an add-on enhancement for your email account. Though Exchange ActiveSync has been supported on our mail servers for some time, it is only now with changes to how Microsoft licenses this technology that we are able to launch this feature.
For those unfamiliar with Exchange ActiveSync, it is a protocol that has become a de facto standard to sync groupware and mobile devices. With the ActiveSync add-on, your email, contacts, calendar and tasks are synchronized between our mail servers and your mobile device (e.g. your smartphone or tablet) in real time.
ActiveSync includes synchronization support for most mobile devices on the market, including Google Android, Apple iPad and iPhone, Motorola, Nokia, HP, Samsung, LG and Windows Phones.
We know that we are a mobile society and having access to information on-the-go is increasingly important for your business and personal life. So we are glad to be able to make this feature available to help you be even more productive.
Why Use Exchange ActiveSync
ActiveSync makes your connections easy. You use one protocol to sync the majority of your data. You also receive this in realtime using Push technology, while other protocols work on interval schedules. With ActiveSync you receive a native sync to the device/application – meaning you won’t have extra calendars or contacts to work out of. One other perk is that ActiveSync adds an extra bit of security. When ActiveSync is enabled on a mobile device, if that phone is lost of stolen, you can remote wipe the device to protect any sensitive information.
ActiveSync makes it easy to give users the BEST and MOST EFFICIENT way to get native synchronization for their mobile devices – regardless of their platform. iOS, Android and Windows phones and tablets will be able to natively sync email, contacts, calendars, and even notes and tasks on supported devices.
With Node we are able to easily build efficient, high-throughput systems that scale. It’s proving to be a great product for application development.
